- Aeronautical Engineering students, Team VAYUPUTRA of Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology was awarded for overall 2 nd Prize with Cash award of Rs. 50,000/- and first place in Best Design Report with Cash award of Rs. 10,000/- under Micro Class category. Team AIRAVAT of MLRIT was awarded 3 rd place for best Innovation under regular class category.
- Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) conducted 5 th edition of Aero Design Challenge 2020 from 29 th Feb to 1 st March 2020 at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Total 140 teams participated in the event from all over India. Out of 140 teams MLRIT bagged total 3 prizes in various aspects.
AIRCRAFT BUILD COMPETITION- (Design, build and fly)
Aeronautical Engineering students of MLRIT had participated in Aircraft build competition- design build and fly on 16 & 17 September 2019 organized by the professional society Institute of Aeronautics Astronautics & Aviation (IAAA) at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology KIIT Bhuwaneswar. 5 teams had participated in this event out of them 4 teams won prizes in various aspects. Team Darksiders was awarded for over all championship. Team Black bird was awarded 1st place for best design. Team Echo -19 was awarded 2nd place for technical presentation and team Thunderbird was awarded 2nd place in build team. In this regard secretary MLRIT said that students are global leaders and if they have technical skills which need to be motivated. so that students can do miracles in their field.

A. Harish (15R26D7601) and B. Prashanth (15R26D7608) of M.Tech Aerospace Engineering have won the first prize in National Level Competition conducted by National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) in association with ABVP in the name of Shodhana-2017 at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 08/07/2017 for the Project title “Drone pesticide spraying autonomous agriculture support”. The first prize was given by NITI Aayog member Dr. Saraswat, Central Minister Mr. Venkaiah Naidu and Member of Parliament Mr. Konda Vishweshwara Reddy.
Mr.George Yuvraj and Ms Shruthi of Aeronautical final year students have successfully completed their externship program at Cyient-Boeing CEO, Hyderabad on 11 and 12 July, 2016. They were presented with certificate by Mr. Chakravarthy, director, Boeing.
CYIENT in collaboration with BOEING has visited our college and conducted an entry level exam for Aeronautical Engineering department III B.Tech Students to offer two months externship to two students in summer. Ms C. Sai Manish and Mr. K leela Krishna sai Tarun got selected for this externship program.

Department of Aeronautical Engineering has conducted a certification Exam to aero present and alumni students on behalf of DASSAULT SYSTEMES on 03/03/2017 by Mr. K Shiva Shankar, Aero department. 15-20 students attended the exam and 90% students qualified the exam and got certified by DASSAULT SYSTEMES.
Students of III B.Tech, Aeronautical Engineering, Ch. Harish, G Vamshi Krishna and Aditya Tiwari have participated in competition entitled “Anveshana-2017” in Khairatabad, organized by Agastya Foundation on 21-23rd Jan. Here they presented their project “BIO PAPER” which is made of vegetable wastes.

Aeronautical IVth year students Laharika and Sreedhar has Presented their EPIC project “TRICOPTER” for detection of crop diseases in IEEE AIYEHUM CHALLENGE-2016, It is also known as IEEE YOUNG ENGINEERS CONTEST held in July 2016 and secured 11th place in world’s top 20 projects.

Department of Aeronautical Engineering department express heartiest congratulations to Aeronautical III year student Swarna Viswabrahmana for getting selected in Volley ball Team in JNTUH. Aeronautical Engineering department also said they will continuously support all the students in all other extra curricular activities
Department of Aeronautical Engineering had conducted Micro Projects for III, II B.Tech Students and many of them done very good projects, in this regard management had given cash prize to the top three winners from III, II year students. Aeronautical Department Head Dr Satyanarayana Gupta distributed the prizes and encouraged them to do more innovative projects
